Almost a month ago I photographed my friends' son Misha. He was nearly 9 months around this time. If you go back in my blog, Misha's parents were the focus in my second blog. Olga and Bilal were expecting Misha a couple months from that time. Wow, time flies! Misha is closing in on his first birthday, he's a smiley baby that will soon be crawling everywhere! Olga and Bilal, he's adorable and y'all are awesome parents.

A Beautiful Backyard Wedding

Kalista and Ryan tied the knot a little over 2 weeks ago. Kalista is my husband's cousin and it's been set in stone for some time that I was going to photograph this wedding. This was really my first wedding, it was stressful for me because I put so much pressure on myself and I wanted Kalista and Ryan to be happy with their pictures. Also, we were having typical Northwest weather and I was praying for a sunny day for their outdoor wedding.

Our prayers were answered! Kalista and Ryan's wedding day was beautiful. They went for a simple day, just a fun little wedding in the backyard of Ryan's uncle's home. The wedding went off without a hitch and turned out beautifully. Everyone had a great time.

Kalista and Ryan, congratulations. Thank you for letting me document this special day and I hope you're happy with the pictures!

Food at the Market

Since moving to the Northwest, one of my favorite places to go is the Pike Place Market in Seattle. Lots of neat things to see, fun things to buy. I love to go and buy fresh flowers and produce. I don't get to go as much as I like, but I enjoy it when I get the chance. So, here are some shots of things you can buy there. Just wanted to share, enjoy.

The Girl Next Door

I first met our neighbor girl when we were visiting our house before the closing and she offered to babysit our daughter. She was a sweet girl and a little crazy! Over the past couple years I've watched her grow from a "tween" to a strong young women. Like most teens, she went through a little rebellion, but I've been amazed to see a girl her age realize that she can do more with her life. She relies on her faith and focuses on her goals in life to get her where she wants to go. She surrounds herself with people that lift her up and encourage her. Keep it up Kimber, you'll be going places!

This was a quick shoot, her mom needed some new pictures before Christmas. We took them outside with new fallen snow everywhere. It was also really cold!
